Something Special:
Here is something special JUST for my roomies - Tips to relax… PLAY BINGO LOL. After reading about this in a few places I thought I would share it with my favorite roomies.

After a hard day at work, or a rough day with the children we need to find a place to relax and unwind. Why not try our very own bathroom. No matter how big or small you can create a paradise with a few added accessories and atmosphere enhancing guides such as our recipe for Paradise Soup.

This is how Paradise Soup goes:

5 - 25 Gallons of a Healthy Shower or Bath
There is nothing more relaxing than hot water pouring over your body. Sometimes it is assumed that a bath is the only way to relax, but some people can truly relax better in a hot steamy shower. Regardless of your flavor this recipe is not complete without the next ingredients.

3 Large or 10 Small Tea Candles (aroma is best but be careful with the candles)
Being surrounded by flickering candles is a sure “fire” way to boost the environment of our paradise. A bathroom in any condition will look great illuminated by the glow of candles. (that goes with any room ).

1 Tape Player with Soft Music
Select music that will calm you and bring you to a place of silence. Instrumentals are best such as Yanni or inspirational selections found in Target or Wal-Mart. Keep music playing before, during and after you add ingredient number 1.

Directions: Mix them all together in a large moment of solitude. Cook the ingredients together for a minimum of 1/2 half hour, or until you sense the recipe is complete. Cook this recipe at least once a week and watch your outlook change for the rest of your life.

Trust me it works - I have tried it.

How To Raise Your Self Esteem

Most people have difficulty maintaining a good self esteem. But, by following a few easy steps you can raise your self esteem and feel more confident in various situations.

Find some inspirational phrases and put them everywhere where you will see them regularly. Good places are the mirror, fridge, in the car and on your computer screen. The more you read them, the more it will become part of you. Examples of phrases would be: I love myself; I can if I want to; I am beautiful just the way I am; I believe in myself.

Think of yourself as the person you want to be. The more you meditate on what you want to be, the more you will be that person. If you want to be beautiful, be beautiful. Always think of yourself as beautiful. If you think you are beautiful, others will do too.

Always set goals for yourself. Having a goal to reach will add a sense of purpose to your life.

Always act friendly and happy. Soon it will become part of you and you will always feel friendly and happy.

Try to see the positive things in life. We all have millions of things to be grateful for, but few of us realize it. Make a list of all the small things you have. For example, another day, beautiful sunrise, flowers you saw on your walk in the park.

Do things that make you happy. If you love taking a long bubble bath, make time for one. Spend time with yourself to realize how great you really are!

Surround yourself with positive people. If you are in the company of positive people all the time, you too will be, act and think positive.

Being happy with ourselves is not something that happens overnight. It is something that takes a lot of work and faith. But always remember, you can do anything you really want to do.

Hi Again Everyone,

This week I decided since there are a lot of us heading outside to barbeque and many getting ready to snuggle in for winter I would do this baked dish that is really great. Simply as perfect for company as it is for family. No complaints with this one in this house.

Baked Chicken
Preheat oven 325*
Serves: 4 - 6 people

Ingredients:
12 pieces chicken of choice, skin on
2 cans Stewed tomatoes (original)
1 medium can tomato sauce
1 large onion sliced
1 small can mushrooms ( can omit )
1/4 cup canola oil
4 - 6 sprigs fresh parsley chopped
4 - 6 leaves of fresh basil chopped
salt pepper to taste
3 carrots washed cut in 4ths
2 stalks celery dice
3 tbls butter
parmesan cheese
1 medium to large green pepper

Method:
In a small pot add butter onion celery carrots. Sautee until onions are transparent. In a large frying pan heat the oil on medium heat. Wash chicken, put in large plastic bag the flour salt and pepper. Add chicken a few pieces at a time coat really well. Start browning the chicken in the fry pan as you go. When golden place in a roasting pan.

When all pieces are in the roasting pan, place the onion, celery and carrots mixture around chicken in pan. Cut up your green pepper the way you want it, place over top of chicken. Take one can stewed tomatoes and pour over top of chicken pieces. Sprinkle with parsley and basil. Bake in oven about 1 hour and 20 minutes until done. Add a tiny bit of water if necessary to bottom of pan so it does not burn.

Pour tomato sauce in sauce pan. Add about 1/3 of can of water, mushrooms and a can stewed tomatoes. Simmer about 10 minutes before chicken is done. Place chicken on platter and spoon sauce over the top to serve. Sprinkle with cheese. You can serve this with white rice and fresh broccoli. Try garlic bread on the side. This one is Delicious!

On opening his new store, a man received a bouquet of flowers. He became dismayed on reading the enclosed card, that it expressed “Deepest Sympathy”. While puzzling over the message, his telephone rang. It was the florist, apologizing for having sent the wrong card. “Oh, it’s alright.” said the storekeeper. “I’m a businessman and I understand how these things can happen.” “But,” added the florist, “I accidentally sent your card to a funeral party.” “Well, what did it say?” ask the storekeeper. “‘Congratulations on your new location’.” was the reply.

Hi my name is Sharon , (sharon1960) and I am a newbie to both Bingodrome and Bingotourney.
Before I tell you about myself, I would like to thank all of you, for the
warm welcome extended by all, CLs and Roomies alike. I have enjoyed
the laughs and chats so much, it has been a great. I find myself looking
forward to chatting, the chat games and the countdowns everyday. (((((CL’s &Roomies))))) tye1glng2a. I’m a 45 year old mom to girl, Miranda, 27 and granddaughter, Andee, 11, who I am raising with my husband, Mark. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area of Calif., I’m originally from the L.A./Orange Co. area, but have lived in No. California, since the age of 16. My parents retired and moved to the forty-niner gold country, (Grass Valley, Nevada Co, Ca) where they bought a ranch. I have also lived in
Yuba/Sutter Co., Butte Co., Santa Clara Co. and Contra Costa Co. all in Calif. I am a bookkeeper by trade and work temp jobs sometimes but basically a stay at home mom (grandma), my husband is an accountant. I had given up playing bingo after I had a cerebral surgery, at age 32, to remove an aneurysm went better than expected but left me with Short Term Memory loss. I thought my bingo days were over but I have found
a new way to enjoy BINGO, yahoo.

My life has been a rollercoaster but one thing always has remained a
constant with me, is to respect the fact that I am, who I am, today because of my friends, family and the many others who I have related to in my life. We are our own ancestors, we inherit our past and create our future.

I have also been a genealogy hobbyist for 20 years, started with my
great uncles, family history of about 200 relatives and notes and general
knowledge of my immediate family about 20 years ago. My ancestral database now consist of over 3500 documented relatives of my Alberty/Williams and McCullough/Ostrom heritage. It is a never ending project, that I have found very fulfilling and frustrating. Always a challenge!!!!

How To Make Your Own Luck

Some people will always have good luck and others will always have bad luck. That is just the way we were born. False! According to a psychologist Richard Wiseman, this is not completely true. He says that only 10% of our lives are determined by fate, the other 90% is controlled by us. People who have good luck think and behave in ways that create fortune in their lives.

If you think you always have bad luck, do not panic, there is a solution. Wiseman says that people can change their bad luck to good luck, they just have to learn how to do it.

To have good luck you should be open to possibilities and what is around you. People who are stuck in routines often have bad luck. They need to take more risks and be open to new experiences and relaxed enough to recognise new opportunities.

If something goes wrong, do not worry. People who have good luck always have various game plans. Do not focus on only one thing. Always keep your eyes open for new opportunities. If you are too focused on one specific goal, you will not see new opportunities. Try to be relaxed in all situations, this way you will be open to new things.

According to Wiseman people should learn to trust their gut feelings more. The mind has its own way of recognising patterns. If you have been in a similar situation before, your mind will warn you, or you will have good or bad feeling about a situation.

Another important aspect of making your own luck is positive thinking. People who train their minds to see the positive side of things will automatically see experiences in their lives as luck. They will, for example, not say they have been in another terrible accident, but that they have met really nice people etc.

A good way to train yourself to see the positive side of things and to realize how lucky you are, start a dairy. At the end of each day you should write down all the good and lucky things that happened to you during the day. At the end of each week, read through all the good things that happened to you that week.

Basically it all comes down to four basic principles. You should maximise your chance opportunities, listen to your lucky hunches, expect good fortune and turn bad luck into good luck. Train yourself to follow these easy steps to a happier, luckier live!

Hope Mom’s Day went perfect for you all. I decided to do this week’s recipe not necessarily for the Mothers to make but just in case someone else in the house might want to do it for her one day. Mothers Day is not the only time Moms love to be pampered so this can be used anytime the others in the house might want to think outloud and show Mom how special she really is.

SUNDAY BREAKFAST
Serves: 4 - 6 people

SKILLET HASH.

Ingredients:
3 cups chopped and diced small cooked beef or corned beef
6 medium potatoes, cooked and diced small ( about 3 cups )
1 large onion, diced small
1 medium green bell pepper diced
4 - 5 sprigs fresh parsley chopped
3/4 tsp salt
fresh ground pepper to taste
canola or vegetable oil for skillet ( 4 - 5 tbls )

Method:
Mix beef, potatoes, onion, parsley, salt and pepper, well. Heat oil in 12 inch skillet over medium heat until hot. Spread beef mixture evenly in skillet. Cook 15 - 20 minutes, turning as you go until browned and hot.

SKILLET POTATOES.

Ingredients:
All diced small.
6 medium potatoes try Yukon Gold or Red (Bliss, delicious)
1 medium green bell pepper
1 medium sweet red pepper
1 large onion
1/2 tsp salt
fresh ground pepper to taste
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (add more to taste)
3 - 4 sprigs fresh parsley chopped
1 tsp seasoning salt
1 tsp garlic powder
3 tbl canola oil

Method:
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Heat skillet with 5 - 6 tbls oil until hot on medium heat. Place mixture of potatoes in pan and start to cook and brown about 15- 20 minutes, cook till golden brown and a bit crisp. Serve with eggs made your favorite way, of course juice on the table, toast or biscuits with butter and “Jelly” (of course haha) Do not forget coffee and tea!!!

I just wanted to get in touch and let you know what a brilliant site I think Bingodrome is. Hi all, I live in the blackcountry which is part of the west midlands in the UK. Its where all the coal comes from. It is always raining here but there are plenty of things to do. My job is mental health care which I love. Over here the most popular foods are faggots and peas which we say pays lol and we have the good old English roast. We have a good tourist attraction called the blackcountry living museum which takes you back a few hundred years on how people live and most haunted came to our local zoo in Dudley and did a live show looking for the grey lady which was really cool.

A little bit about “Swteet62″… Well I was born on December 26, 1962 in Painesville, Ohio. When I was sweet “16″ my parents moved us to Orlando, Florida. I hated it cause I had to meet all new friends but eventually started to like it!!! Then in 1983 I thought I met the man of dreams….that ended up to be just a bad Nightmare….but I had 3 beautiful children as a result. Kristan Ashley age 21…Brittany Nicole age 19 and Steven Terrence age 18. I was single and raising 3 children by myself until God blessed me with Charles - back in 1994. We were engaged for 8 years (I had to make sure!!) and married on February 14, 2002.

I have no grandchildren from my 3 children but I am a Mi-Mi to 3 beautiful step grand children. I also have a step daughter and son.

I’m employed with one of the largest on-line Internet stores.

I love to gamble - its my weakness!! I have never deposited at any sites other than Bingodrome. Its my first and one and only. When I was given my free play I instantly fell in love with it.

How To Cope With Stress

We all have to cope with stress in our every day lives. Some people experience stress at work, others at home or others while they have to sit for hours in the traffic. The best way to control our stress levels, is to regularly use stress relieve techniques.

Some of the effects of too high stress levels include the following:

Try some of these techniques to relieve your stress:

Exercise regularly. The human body needs a balanced lifestyle and regular exercise. When we exercise regularly, our bodies produce endorphins which acts as a natural stress relieve.

Learn to say no. If you do not want to do something, or know you do not have time for something, say no. In the beginning you might feel if you are letting people down, but you can explain to them that you would really like to help them, but do not have time.

Change your attitude. See difficult situations as challenges to overcome, not as problems. Speak up when you are unhappy; do not hide your feelings.

Manage your time. Learn how to manage your time. Plan your day so you have time for everything you need to do. You do not always have to do everything. Learn to delegate. Let the kids do some of the household chores while you finish your work.

Eat healthy. If you eat healthy and balanced meals, you body will feel healthy and your mind will be sharper. Do not eat snacks and healthy foods in an attempt to cope with difficult situations. You will only feel guilty later.

Coping with stress is not as difficult as many think. When you make effective stress management part of your daily live, you will live a more relaxed and happier live.

Hello everyone,

Talk about being top of the line, this has to be one of the best. I could make two of these and still would never have enough. It is so dreamy and delicious. It just doesn’t matter which fruit you prefer. The cake will be perfect for the family or company.

ANGEL FOOD FRUIT CAKE
Preheat oven 375*(Serves 10 - 12 people)

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
1 1/2 cups egg whites ( about 12 - 15 eggs )
1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla extract

Topping:
1 quart heavy whipping cream
fresh fruit (strawberries, pineapple, berries, peaches in season OR canned fruit peaches, fruit cocktail)

Mix flour and 1/2 cup sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.
Place egg whites in a large mixing bowl, with electric mixer whip until egg whites are frothy, 30 to 60 seconds.

Add cream of tartar, salt, and vanilla. Whip egg whites gradually adding the remaining cup of sugar and beat until stiff. Stop and scrape the bowl. Spoon flour-sugar mixture, 1/4 at a time, over the egg whites. Fold in gently with spatula, just until blended.

Pour batter into ungreased 10 inch tube pan. With knife, gently cut through batter to break up large air bubbles.

Bake until crust is golden brown and cracks are very dry. About 35 - 40 minutes. Immediately invert cake pan to soft drink bottle. Cool completely.
Remove from pan. If using a non stick pan let cool a bit and turn over should release and come right out.

LET COOL COMPLETELY:
Whip heavy cream in large bowl, gradually add 1/2 - 3/4 cups sugar, whip cream until light and fluffy yet stiff. Cut Cake in half . through the middle making 2 layers. remove top layer and top bottom layer with whipped cream about 1 inch thick. Add your favorite fruit. Place top on bottom. Decorate cake with remaining whipped cream, pile as high as you like do sides as well. Add fruit and design as you wish. ” YUMMY ” For sure!!
